Droga 5 and Amazon wanted a concept to visualise “hip hop rotation’ so we pitched the idea of one guy riding through ever changing backdrops. In 15 seconds there wasn’t really that many he could ride through, but we packed in as much animation as we could in the time!
We animated a stop motion BMX rider shot with a fish eye lens using a motion control camera programmed in 3D software riding through a 2D world of frame by frame characters. Yikes! . It was a technically challenging solution but it came out pretty nice.
